| Case Study Hawker 800XP |
|
PC Aviation contacted us in late 2009 to provide them with some advice on the refurbishment of a Hawker 800 XP in readiness for sale of the aircraft.
At that point there were some eighty aircraft with a similar specification in the market place so the quality of the interior was of critical importance to the sale. After surveying the aircraft our recommendation for a partial refurbishment was accepted. This included replacing the worn cabin seats, divan and crew seats, fitting a new carpet (which also got rid of a particularly unpleasant smell in the cabin) some repairs to the cabinetry and a deep clean of the lining panels. A potential buyer for the aircraft was involved in the specification and style of the interior, making full use of our sample room and the extensive range of materials and carpets he was able to choose from. He particularly appreciated being able to visit our facility and see the work being done and talk to the fitters involved in the project. Work began and within three weeks of the order being received the work was completed leaving the aircraft looking as good as new. We were really pleased to hear that the aircraft was delivered to its delighted new owner a few days later.
